Community Outreach
GIT houses several community outreach programs that benefit surrounding Little Rock communities as well as the entire state of Arkansas.
NASA Programs
The main office for the Arkansas Space Grant Consortium (ASGC) is located within GIT. ASGC represents Arkansas in NASA activities and increases higher education institutional awareness of NASA research opportunities.
Earthquake Center
The Arkansas Earthquake Center provides the community with public education, hazard mitigation, and scientific research. Their outreach encompasses schools, government, industry, engineers & architects, and the general public.
STRIVE
The Arkansas STRIVE program is a summer program for science, math, and computer teachers of grades 6-12. Teachers are paired with industries or organizations to gain real-world research opportunities that will broaden their knowlege base.
